Is $5500 out the door a good price in Western PA for a new 2001 400EX?

Yup. That's not too bad since the $300 rebate is over now. I paid $5399 on Friday.

I forgot to mention that the Honda ATV training will give me another $100 back after I take it. That would put me at $5499. Who knows, I might learn something.

Also, how are you guys getting those 400EXs so cheap? $300 dollars less!!! Is that out the door? In PA we pay another 6% sales tax + around $80 for title and registration.

If I work the numbers backward:

+ $5112 for the ATV
+ $80 for title and registration
+ $307 for the State Taxes

- $100 training incentive from Honda
------------
about $5400 when it is all done.

Can any of you do a similar breakdown so we are talking apples to apples?

But when you take that training class don't they just send you a Savings Bond? I thought I read that somewhere.

I double check. Honda changes this program every year. Last year it was some sort of raffle. This year they (Honda Corporation) told me I would get a check.

I should look again because I thought that they issued a Savings Bond.......but if they issue a $100 check, then it's worth taking the class.
