My 1999 honda recon 250 has been running smoothly and great for some time now but one day i started it, It seemed that the neutral light didnt come on at first but i turnt it off then on and it came on and started right up, I went for a ride in some branchy grass and bumpy areas sort of like a swamp, Stopped because i got stuck on a hump turned the bike off when i got it unstuck i turned the key on and no neutral light comes on, The head lights work and when i cross the solenoid the starter turns on but doesnt start up, Almost as if the kill switch was on, The spark plug does have spark and is good the battery is fully charged and no fuzes are blown, Any ideas?

 

Is your key switch bad????? sounds like it could be if no neutral lite and no fire at plug this could be whats going on...also could be bad neutral switch if lite not working rite but I dont think neutral lite got anything to do with firing system its only on the starting leg... Just an I deal

 

But the head light still works when the key is on.
