Honda Recon 250...how deep can it go
What is the deepest water I can get in on a recon. I would test it myself, but I don't want to get into the creek and get stuck or get water in the muffler or starve it for air. I don't have snorkels. I have stock 22" tires in the front, and 350 rancher (24") in the rear. Please help me. There's a nice trail that I know of, but don't want to load up the quad in a truck with straps and go through all that trouble when I could go through the creek on the other side of the neighbors property

All ATV can go as deep as the main breather tube that leads off the air box , if most cases that's bellow the handle bars. Any atv I rode can atleast go to a depth of mid way of the side panel to just bellow the gas tank.
If it stalls before the water reaches the main breather intake , then it has a air leak in the main tube some place or water is affecting the wiring someplace and needs water proofing ignition spay.

I don't know the Recon but just find its breather intake to the air box and now you know its water depth limit like on all ATVs.
On my Polaris the intakes are at mid gas tank height and on my Yamaha its just above the rear tail light. Once over those the Air box takes a big gulp of water along with the carb and its game over. Its not real rocket science.
