i have bought a new plug, and coil wire, fuse is not burnt out. I bought a new CDI box for it but it isnt the same as what is on it. unfortunately I cant seem to find a cdi that even resembles what is on it. I am at a loss as to what to do now..

 

Have you checked if it is sparking? If it isn't, check the stator and exciter coil, Honda recon you should test them by ohm readings but, with my slightly wonky AVO meter, I tend to go for turning the engine on the starter and checking what volts they put out. I can't find a decent photo of an SX, was it the one with a 250cc version of the legendary 300 Fourtrax engine?
