I have a 03 honda rancher 350 es recently took the motor apart to change the timing chain tensioner an rings it. We put it back together an put it in the bike an now it won't stay in gear or crank we try to put it in neutral an you see the neutral green light light up but then it kicks itself out of gear so put it in gear an rock it back an forth an it kicks it's self out of gear so we took the motor back off trying to find what we did wrong need some help

How far did you go? To replace piston rings and timing chain all you need to part is the cylinder from crankcase and the alternator cases from the back of the engine. This shouldn't affect the gearchange linkage, apart from the emergency lever shaft. However the fault seems like the star wheel not on right in the clutch housing, did you take this apart?
