I don't know what slow raptors & DS650s, because last wk at the dunes, the banshee's, even the piped, jetted, and cool headed ones didn't even come close to either the raptor of ds. On dirt/grass, I can bet a piped, jetted boost bottled, coolheaded w/15cc domes, w/ my stock raptor by 20yds by top end. The top ends were almost exact. The raptor's biggest weakness is the top heavy feel and the tires hook way too well for high speed cornering. but of course that can be fixed for $1k. The banshee has proven it self for many yrs, its nice to finally have something new that can keep up w/ them and have the newer suspension. the Ds is huge, but a quality product for certain.
