New 650 EX could have reverse,,and Independent Rear Suspension..

I don't see it happening really. All you mentioned was rocky roads, I don't see too many of them on a MX track! Yeah, i seen that Suzuk with the IRS. It looked heavy. He didn't do too bad with it, but he still couldn't beat the 250r's. The only possibility of a IRS racer would be for cross country. But then you have the sliding problem. I don't know, but I don't see it really taking off in the atv world. Sorry man.

Thanks Mojaveaddict. I have exchanged e-mails with Mark LoScorbo at High Speed Dirt. Pictures on the web site are great. Right now they are building "Strong Arm" A-arms. He is totally into Independent Rear Suspension. He would like to produce a full IRS race quad chassis. I would like to buy a prototype. A lot of people would like to buy one, they just don't know it yet.
He has a lot of inside information about what the Manufacturers have and are not doing. Including a Raptor with IRS using titanium halfshafts! The manufacturer's concensus is that it works better but we don't want it because we think it is heavy and it won't slide. Both of which are false, but they think that's what we think. Mark and I don't think that way, how about you?

I was also pretty impressed with High Speed Dirt and it just so happens that I am getting ready to do the suspension on my 250R. He is going to send me more info on the arms and the shocks.
I remember reading about that quad when he was building it and wondered why he chose a Suzuki, but if you are building from the ground up, all you really need is a good motor.
If no manufacturer makes a new (and I mean new and improved) quad for 2002, I am going to serioulsy consider having him build a IRS chassis for my Banshee. They can use any existing front end kit currently available. Laeger T-pin front end with matching IRS anybody?

Hi Ridzhard, Fourlix here. Hey Tucson is just down the road from here. I pretty much grew up in Tucson. '63 thru '74, Grade school thru jr.college. Catalina '71. I worked at Fred's Desert Cycle and Stereo Go-Go! Hah!
We gotta talk Mark into making us a couple of frame/chassis IRS units. This is the guy. He's already done it and probably has a bunch of improvements already in mind for the next ones. I got a buddy who might want one too. We could be
R&D for him, though he would be better off using real racers for that, there's actually a lot more non-racers than racers.
This guy is right for all the right reasons.
He is a racer and builder. He is doing extensive CAD drawing and engineering, as well as seat of the pants riding. We've got to get him a better motor, like a 650 Honda or YZ426. A Raptor motor would be great 'cause it has reverse. But could you get one?
It's like we'd have to send him $5 grand and a motor to start, $5 G's more on delivery for a rolling chassis with shocks, with motor mounted. A good motor could be had for a few hundred or a few thousand.
If we had a half-dozen orders for Mark,it would be well worth it for all of us, and we might just start something...

Actually, I have been thinking about that, but I planned on waiting a little longer than that. I am ordering the strong arms and Elka shocks in August. He has answered all of my questions in a very timely manner, unlike other distributers who are too busy to give you any real information.
I would order it know, but he said in the next month or so Elka will release dual and triple rate shocks, as well as some that are for cross-country applications. Also, I am going to be at Ft. Knox Kentucky until then. I figure that if there is not a completely "new and improved" quad this time next year, I would see about having a chassis built for my Banshee.

Hey Ridzhard, I tried to e-mail you about this new wolverine/Raptor. Check out the Yamaha Forum for "Anybody seen the spy photos" topic. There is some good info posted by 3TV. It could be what we've been looking for...Raptor motor with I.R.S. and racks.
