2007 Honda recon 250 rough idle

Hello everyone, new to this thread. I have a 2007 Honda recon 250. When I got the machine 3 years ago it was not well taken care of. I have went threw the machine front to back. It sat for the last year and didn’t even get turned over. I recently drained all the gas, new screen and pet ****, new fuel
line, new oem carb and oem throttle cable. Fresh gas. Now I have to choke it and play with the choke to get it to start and to keep
it running. I have adjusted the idle speed at the throttle control. Any ideas what it could be? I didn’t want to adjust the carb idle screw since it came from the factory with the paint line still
over the screw. Maybe not take new things for granted? Thanks

Sounds like carb still blockage in slow speed jet[pilot] maybe from drill slag or didnt get flush good from factory also may want to adjust mixture screw out another half round also make sure atv has good or new air filter if air filter is rotten or has an hole through it will change air/fuel mixture.
