Bought it used eh? Well there is probably your problem. The guy you bought it from could have messed it up. I think that because this is the first complaint I've heard on white brothers.

WB is actually known for their good quality brackets. Mine looks nice and sturdy. I'll bet it was the previous owner

WELL MINE BROKE 2 TIMES AND WAS WELDED 2 TIMES BY WHITE BROTHERS WHATS THAT SHOW?

I just bought a White Brothers Pro-Meg pipe and silencer for the 400EX and it does not have the welded-on heat shield nuts. I wonder if they stopped welding those on because there were cracking problems. This is my second White Bros. exhaust- I have been using the e-series slip-on with the stock headpipe. I upgraded to the larger headpipe because of recent motor mods. The slip-on did give me some problems with cracking brackets. I had to return the slip-on after about four months of use because the lower bracket cracked loose. I returned it to White Bros and they replaced the entire inlet pipe at no charge- they even repacked it and gave me some extra discs. Since then I have put many hard hours on that silncer with no problems.
