2015 Honda rancher 420 foot shift 4wd sensor for dash
#1
I have a 2015 rancher 420 manual shift 4wd single rear axle. My atv stopped showing the "4WD" on dash while 4wd is activated. When i turn key on the "4wd" appears on dash along with all other gauge items when initial test runs. That being said tge lcd screen is working. Where is the sensor that detects atv is in 4wd? I have searched and searched for the answer. And yes 4wd is engaging.
Thanks in advance

Blindingly obvious, as it is near the back end of the front diff, with a single wire running from it. Wire goes through a peculiar flat sheet bracket on the diff. Why worry though? Similar, Suzuki 400 has no indicator except the position of the engagement lever.

Thank you. Its parked at hunting camp and ive tried to locate the issue without really digging into it. Plan is to get it home and remove some plastics and tires. I bought it new and im just the ocd type that wants it to work the way it should. But if it works like you say, I will just have to live with it. Was hoping it was some simple contact sensor that could be changed out. Once again, thank you.
