I have a 01 rancher and I can’t get the neutral light to come on. I have jumped the switch but I only get the reverse light, I changed the bulb, I can crank it over but no spark. Any ideas???

I would guess you jumped the wrong part of the switch if you got the reverse light. Pale green or pale green/red are usually wiring colours for the neutral light on Hondas. When earthed the neutral light comes on. Honda also run this wire into the CDI and to the starter solenoid. It provides a better spark when in neutral, from the CDI, and ensures the solenoid only works in neutral. Either the switch has failed or, if shorting the wire to earth doesn't work, the wire has a break somewhere. There is also a diode in the circuit, can't remember why, this can fail, it is in the fuse box.

First change the plug, it could be that simple. You next have to run a series of tests on the CDI plug. I can't remember which colour wire does what, but there is a pos feed from ignition switch via kill switch, I think this is black/white. An earth, in fact two (green), the pale green/red from neutral switch, a wire from pulse coil (probably blue/something) which gives an AC pulse and tells the CDI when to spark as the engine spins round, 0.7v minimum but usually about 4v. I think there is a yellow, tapped off from the stator wires, and there will be an output wire from CDI to ignition coil, again AC pulse, to provide the spark. There is also a set of wires for the fan, sheer perversity made Honda wire the fan through the CDI on late 300s and 350s.
