Yes! Shifts thru all gears smoothly!

 

As both I and papa hog scoot wrote, most likely cause of the missing 2nd, 3rd, 4th display is the rotary switch, so check that out first. Most Hondas of that era didn't display the gears, so it is not a big deal if they don't show. Some later ES needed the signal for the gears to change properly but, as yours doesn't, I would forget it unless neutral decides not to display, in which case the electric start will pack in.
