Honda wants me to take out a 15 year mortgage for axle beaings! Can I go to my local bearing shop for these? What about swingarm needle bearings? Thanks!

Brandon,

Bearings are produced according to industry standards and can be identified by a number that appears on the bearing itself. I was able to purchase an axle bearing for my TRX 300 at a local auto parts store by simply walking in with the four-digit number (6007).

Don't pay dealer prices for a generic part.

The 250r has the same O.D. as most honda bearings, but a larger I.D, making a very odd sized bearing. I went to one bearing store and they said all they had in that size was an aircraft quality one(like upwards of $100). Went down the road and found a cheap one for like $20-$25.

You could also try http://www.recreationunlimited.com

I bought a bearing/seal kit there for around $50-60. Free shipping too.

Brian
