The 250X is pretty much equal to the 300EX. They respond to the same mods as well. The 300EX may have just a tiny bit more bottom end grunt but it's hardly noticeable becuase the 250X is 26 lbs lighter than the 300EX. I have one of each and the 250X seems to rev a little easier but they are about equal in a drag race.

Yea they will give you more speed. They will give you more bottom end as well. You tell me this, why would people by aftermarket parts if they didn't want speed? I'm not talking about nerfs, bumpers, etc, I'm talking about pipes, powerkits, and airfilters. For some reason when I put a White Brothers E-series slip on and a K&N Air Fliter on my 300ex, it went from running 56-58 on a dirt straight away to 61-63. A 400ex will do faster than 64. I 400ex should be able to do around 68-70 mph. Thats what they run around here...and yes, they are stock.

Sorry guys and im not trying to start a fight, but your speeds are way over the real speeds. Two friends of mine have both a 250x and 300ex and my brother has a warrior. The 250x is stock except for a airfilter, but the 300ex has a pipe, k&n power kit, holeshots, and some bolt-ons and the warrior has a pipe, and powerkit. They have had straight races, and the warrior seems to win most if not all. But the 300ex and 250x stay together for a good portion of the races. I give the 250x credit. Its a light quick quad. The 300ex does around 41 STOCK and the 400ex STOCK does around 54. Here is a site with exact top speeds, With and without a jet kit. Dyno jet research. dynojet

What are you smoking? My gosh a 250ex does faster than 41 and a 400ex goes faster than 54. A 300ex stock runs from anywhere between 56-60 mph stock. A 400ex stock runs anywhere from 66-70 Stock. If you still don't believe me then come on down here and bring a radar gun and watch a 300ex hit 56mph. A 300ex can do 41 in 4th gear.
