waaaay off subject, crotch rocket plastic change?
#1
Hey, I want to get a crotch rocket that looks really nice, the problem is all the f3s and f4s are all about 5 grand, and i Only have about three. I was wandering if I could take (just an example) a 1992 cbr600 and fit the newer plastic on it. Im really doubting I can, but just thought I would ask.

I dont even know why you would want to go through that. Do you know how much plastics cost for rice burners?
The F2 plastics are pretty good looking. Sure the f3-f4's are slightly nicer but it's not worth the money. If you are going to spend all of that money you might as well just get the f3, then you'll have the aluminum frame.
I have a F2 and i love the way it looks. Sure it's not as good looking as the newer bikes like the 929, f4, or R1-R6, BUT it is a pretty good looking bike. The look alot nicer than the original hurricanes too.
As for "could" you do the swap. If you are really good at fabricating things like brackets it can be done. Because the F3-F4 frames are different (aluminum) i suspect that most of the mounting points are different than the F2's and hurricanes.
If you need anything else feel free to ask.
