What a Polaris guy thinks of your Ruby.

I bet a bunch of you thought this was another flaming post? Well, it's not. Just my review after a short spin on a Ruby. Some of you know I am a Polaris owner, but I do like the other brands as well.
Today my buddy was doing some welding on my trailer and he had a Ruby there for a tune up. I took it for a short spin around the yard and ditch. The first thing I noticed was the floorboards. I like the design of them better then my Trail Blazers. The ride was nice and smooth, definitly better then the majority of the ATVs on the market. The tranny was nice, smooth, no lag time, quiet. I am still leary about the computer for it, but other then that, it was very nice. The one thing I did not like was the steering effort. Compared to my Blazer it was a lot harder. I figure this is due to the weight difference, and the fact that it is a full time 4x4. I am not sure how it would compare to the other heavy big bores. The engine was nice and powerful. Compared to my little Trail Blazer, it was a HUGE difference. And overall the looks of the machine are appealing.
Overall Honda has a nice unit. There are a few item such as the lack of 2x4 mode and the computer that would keep me from buying it, but I can see why it is so popular now. Nice job Honda.

I wasn't worried, Lurch. You've always been pretty fair as far as I've seen. You are bucking the trend a little on this forum, though.
