416,426,440,also which nerfs are best?

i was just wondering what they cost & can you put them in your self,which one is best for reliabilty.can you use a quick silver carb with these kits.which one should i go with first the quick silver carb or a big bore kit.the nerfs are a must.exuast wise i think iam going to go with a white brothers .any help will be appreciated?

You can get a JE 10.8:1 piston for around $100, and a drop in cam for around $140 for a 416. If you send it to a builder, he will port/polish it, and do some other things for anywhere from $800-$1500.
The 416 seems to be the popular choice, as you lose a lot of reliability with a 440. I haven't heard much about the 426.
Everyone I've heard of with the 416 loves it. I will be doing this soon, as well.

I have a 426 kit in mine and it is really awesome. The kit cost me 150 and cam was 135 from hot cams and I have the quick silver on it's way to me right now. Mine will eat up my buddies 440ex. Mine is also ported so that helps a lot.
