i have a 250X and i was just wondering what type of front tire i should get for it , i was thinking about a grooved radial but they are probably really heavy , any ways i will be running 20 or 18 inch rears , any suggestions ? i ride trail , sometimes MX , and dirt road type places . \

THANKS , zeebo

I used a set stock 300Ex tires on my 250X, and i got another set of the stock 300Ex tires. Personally, i love them!!! i think they are great!! they hook up well, and last long. they're called Oshotu's. Dunlop makes them.

I went with a set of fast trekkers on the front and holeshots on the rear. I have never been happier. They grab better than the stock tires. They look better as well. Just my $0.02.

I run Holeshots (21X7X10" front and 20X11X9" rear) on the 300EX, and they REALLY increased the agility of the bike. This is the hot setup for trail riding and should be good for MX also. If I switch to 22" front and rear (like stock), it tames the handling down, and this is what I would suggest for general riding.

I HAD holeshots on the back of my recon , and the only reason i didnt like them was because i would get a flat like ounce a week with them , and they were the 6 ply version . how well can you slide the back end around with your holeshots ? and how are they for sand and hil climbs

my holeshot xcts are awsome. i got up inclines with out a problem, even the really long and steep ones. in the mud there incredable, same with the snow and on trails. you can take turns a lot easier without spinning out.

i've drivin in the sand a few times with my holeshots, they handle well, they didnt dig ruts and sink my quad like my friends stock 400ex tires did. it takes a bit to get up to speed but other then that there good in the sand.

what do you mean by "you can take turns a lot easier without spinning out"

do you mean it wont just whip around like the stock tires ? or what cause thjats what i want a tie that will let the backend slide out sideways around corners
