jumping the 250ex

The little 250 does OK. It's a little front heavy so you have to compensate for that, and the suspension is pretty tight so the landings are a bit harsh. Actually, I don't think it jumps as well as the Recon (the power plant on which it is based). The Recon is balanced a little better. My daughter jumps it pretty well. At my weight (220) I would never try to jump a double, because I'm sure I would come up short! For beginners or casual jumpers, it is quite good.

I have a 250ex- and it jumps just fine. It's actually heavy in the rear, not the front. so most of the landings are on the back tires. It's not as stable as the 400ex- I don't know- maybe it's just a comfort thing. But all my buddies who ride my 250ex keep up just fine. They've been getting about 5' air and landing on flat ground with no problem.
If you are thinking about buying one- definately do it. It's a great all around bike.
