Where can I find a place to send my ATV frame to so I can get it powdercoated? What is the best way to get it powdercoated?

Thanks

Search the Yellow Pages and on the internet in your home town to find a powdercoater. They are around, you just have to find them.

The best way to powdercoat your frame is to first have it sand-blasted. This cleans all of the old paint and dirt off of the frame. Expect to pay a professional between $50-100 dollars for the job. Next is the painting. A professional powdercoater will charge between $150-225 to paint your frame. But if you offer to do some of the labor yourself, you can cut the price in half. It takes a lot of time to tape all of the holes and threads. Save yourself some money and do it yourself.

You do not have to sandblast the frame before powdercoating. But the end results are much nicer if you do. If you know a powdercoater, you might be able to get a deal. Call around.

For the 2002 race season, I picked up a powdercoat sponsor. If you have a rough time finding someone in your area. Let me know. I can hook you up with a pretty good deal. An even better one, if your a racer. (chrisjstark@yahoo.com)

Good luck with the search. Powdercoating is very trick looking and very durable.
