can you answer this, a guy I know said that it would. He has Banshee and says that another guy had a 300EX kept up just fine. Is this true? I know riding experience counts but what if the 2 riiders were about the same at riding.

When the banshee hits the straits the ex won't, but in tight yeah it'll keep up just fine.

I've ridden both...the 300EX will not hang with a Shee anywhere. Simple.

ive riden with a banshee on my 250X (same as 300ex ) and i could keep up fine until there was a strait away . i could catch up around corners and around obstacles because he was revvd and slippen the clutch to get power but i just went through 1/2 throttle .

Yep...it will probably keep up. When straughts come though...bye bye...eat the dust!...and it's easier to be "too heavy on the gas" with the banshee than it is on the EX

In EXTREMELY tight woods (4X4 utility type...just crawling less than 10 MPH) a 300EX would keep up with anything. On regular trails, and equal riders, the 300ex would never keep up.

Beef a 300 up to a 330 and then you got a SUPER bike- you can beat a stock 400ex (maybe one with a pipe).

in extremely tight trails only? Bull crap! The 300ex can keep up with anything on a trail as long as the guy on the 300ex doesn't suck at riding. yea...everything...meaning raptor, banshee, 400ex, DS650, cannondale,EVERYTHING. The 300ex is by no means a slow quad...sure to a 400ex, raptor, etc its going to seem slow. What wouldn't that is smaller than those? I don't know of any stock 300ex or warrior that will go the same speed as anything bigger. I wish people would quit bashing the 300ex just because they have something bigger. I'm so sick and tired of it that if anyone that is bashing them came around here and rode with me...I would wreck you just to BASH your quad. Leave the 300ex alone...it has enough power for me and everyone else that owns one. Why do you think people bought them? So they could wish it was a 400ex? No...I sure didn't. I bought mine because for what I do I don't need a 400ex. I ride the trails just as fast as I can get. I have never got my 300ex wide open on a trail...so there is no way that all you 400+ cc quad owners have got yours wide open...unless ofcourse it is a straightaway and wide. It is pretty much impossible to go around a curve full speed...so don't even argue that it is.

I here you 97300exGuy, I hear a lot of people say that the 300EX is underpowered, but on a track it can beat a Warrior which has more power than it. It can probably beat a lot of things in the woods, such as the 400EX, raptor, DS650, cannondale, etc. And when it comes time to go into reverse who gets around faster? The 300EX. Yes the Raptor has reverse also but the 400EX doesn't. And someone on one of these forums said real men don't need reverse or something like that. Well you get off of your 400EX and swing it around and I will just use my handy reverse gear and I will see you later like when I decide to stop and wait for you. So I guess you can call me lazy and not a real man (as if I would be one at 14 years old). I think personally that you can only go so fast through the woods. So as long as your quad can go that fast it will keep up.
