I am replacing a OE basket for a Hinson on a engine and the cushions show some signs of cracking in the corners. I know I can get a used trashed basket and see if I can cannabalize those cushions, but are there any alternatives short of having cushions fab'd????


Anyone else been in the same boat???

 

interesting dilema..I imagine the only way to get the cushions from Honda is to buy the complete basket and gear assembly?

UPDATE: Just spoke with Brian at Hinson's tech-line and he says that they have some cushions that are like the ones on CR's that can be used. The OD of the cushion is the same, the ID where it slips over the stud is slightly different and may require some trimming/creative work to get them on without too much hassle. He says that they will fit even without dinking with them, but trimming/altering may be the best way to do it. I'll keep you posted once they arrive. Should have them by Wednesday.

 

the ones they sent you should work (with very little most likely no mods.).
