i'd say the 300ex will suit u fine, i do a lot of cruising up on the fields by my house, and on the trails. i also enjoy riding in the mud and jumping. the 300ex rocks in the mud and on jumps. i dont hit large jumps biggest ones i hit i get about 5 or 6 feet of air off of, and it lands fine.

Depends on how much you want to spend and what your friends ride. If you want to spend some cash, the new 650 &660 are in line. If not, I'd say either a 4x4 scrambler or wolverine. However, if you're friends have ex's or banshees, you'd better get the same so you can keep up.
