Ok, i want to put a 350X motor in my 250X frame, i already did a search...in this forum, and at powoll too...so don't think that i'm some lazy kid that wants others to do my work for me, i just need some help cause money is tight and i want to make sure i make the right decision. anyway, i searched and found the following topics Should I put a 350X engine on my 250X frame? , 350X MOTOR IN A 250X FRAME which offered some help, but left me with more questions than answers.

i pertty sure that it will fit with only a few modifications to the motor mounts, but i don't understand what they mean by "shimming" the mounts, and they were also un-clear about the exhuast, i gathered from it that the 350X exhuast would hit thie frame and the pipe had to be modded to go around it?? am i right??

anyway, any help would be GREAT!!!

 

yes you are right , also if i were you id just get the powroll conversion kit . it makes things alot easier and work out alot better when its done . I had a friend who did this to his 250R and it looks like it came that way from the factory ! its not apowroll kit but it was A "KIT" made for it so it came out awesome . good luck !
