Building a rear bumper
#1
I am building a rear bumper for my Rancher and wanted to know what "add on's" would you build on to a rear bumper if you were doing it. So far the main part is going to made of 4" "c" channel, I cut out a slot for a 2" reciever hitch (it will mount in the bumper so attachments can be added), I also have to 11,000 lbs "D" rings that are being installed for pulling, and 2 small loops (I bolt looking things - 1 on each corner) to act as tie down points if needed. What else would you add? How would you attach it. To the frame at 4 points is what I was thinking. I want to have it drop down a bit so I can still open my storage compartment in the rear if possible. Any ideas or photos would be awesome! THANKS!!
Oh one last thing, what about paint? I was thinking Hurculiner or some type of spray on bed liner material.
