My wife has a 98 Forman 400 that is seldom riddin, we went for a ride today and out on the trails i looked at the air cleaner t osee if it was dirty (dusty today) what i found was a dirty cleaner and an oil filled airbox... there must be a vent from the crankcase coming to the airbox? i have a 97 model and have yet to ever see this occur, and mine has been riddin very hard. anyone knows where the problem lies? tomorrow im hoping to do a full maintainance on it. the bike may have about 500 mi. on it.

We had a problem with these and it is just because you have just to much oil in the crankcase. These models are very sensitive to oil level. I don't know if this is your problem but this is one we had.
