2002 300ex vs. scrambler
#2
I'm not even going to get into the details of either machine for fear of the bickering that will start. Who cares who is faster then the other guy or if his quad is faster then his buddys. Do you have fun riding it? If the answer is yes then who really cares. Nuff said.

in a drag race the 300ex is going to get SLAMMED!
52 vs near 70 for a scrambler.
now on the track or the woods, anything with turns, the Scrambler will be sitting.
Unless he is a really really really good rider.
Less exp riders are always slow on a polaris because they require a little more body english and skill to ride fast.
I read an article in Dirt wheels, they did the scrambler 400 vs 300ex. And everyone pulled better times on the 300ex execpt for one racer got a better track time on the 400 because he was a pro.

I killed a 500 4x4 scramber on a 2-mile paved road by at least 4-5 quad lenths. He got me off the line because i wheelied but in the long run i pulled right past him. If i passed him out by that much i know a stock 300 will still beat it.

I am here to tell you that I have a 500 4x4 scrambler and my friend has a 300ex.....I have raced him many of times and not lost. He has a FMF pipe on his 300 and I have a powerup kit on my 500....I can be behind him and catch up and pass him. I also just races a 300ex last weekend and beat it both times.....
He does get me in the twists and turns on the trails but I am learning how to throw that Scrambler around. Practice Practice...I have to use alot of body english to keep up in the trails....

my stocker lost to a scrambler 500 2x4.
several times we raced, he had 2 or 3 quad leanghts, on my by the time we both topped out.
i had 20" vipers on at the time, small gear reduction.
I would stay with him till 4th into 5th then he'd pull away, we all know how stock 300exs die in 5th gear.
Thats what happened to me. When i got it pipped i'd stay a little longer then he'd still pull away for the stronger top end speed.
everyone tells me stock 500s are 65-70. and stock EXs are 52-55.
