Those of you who have changed gearing on your 300EX, what have you gone with? Now, I am 14/38 and would like to go to 14/36. Anyone have this gearing? If so, how do you like it? Problems?

Thanks.

I run 14/36 gearing, but I have a 250X motor with a 350 National engine kit in it. With 18" rear tires. That gearing seems pretty tall for a near stock setup.

Is there not a problem with clearance going up to a 14 on the front sprocket? I tried, but couldn't get the metal casesaver to fit in there with the larger sprocket.

walexa-

yah, this does present a problem. i just removed my casesaver and ground it down to accomidate the larger 14T sprocket. works well for me. i do know people that removed the casesaver and left it out. they have no problems........yet anyways.
