What is the difference in the carbs from a 300ex and a 250x. I am looking to get the most performace out of my stock carb and found that k&n sells a kit for the 300ex but not for the 250x. just wondering if the 300ex kit could be used

 

I think they are the exact same thing.

 

the K&N kit will work for the 300ex onto the 250x... the carbs are the same i think, the 300ex carb is 29mm, pretty sure the 250x is the same, if not just a tad bit smaller, but i dont think it is. the best thing you can do for power is play with your fuel and air mixtures a lot, trial and error runs will give you the best performance possible.
