I haven't dropped by this group for a while, so if anyone else reported this, sorry for the repeat.

I found my brake pedal frozen, not moving in either direction. The pedal was disassembled and a $1.50 O-ring was replaced.

'Course the Honda shop charged an hour and a half worth of labor to do the work <sigh>.

After getting it fixed I took the beast back to Tellico and the mountain whipped both our butts on the second day. Both rider and Honda tumbled back down Trail #6 when a boulder proved too steep to climb.

The Honda faired much better than rider did, since the Honda landed on me after a few flips. My right arm has been black, blue, green, and yellow from my fingertips to my elbow, but at least nothing was broken.

My motto: If I don't go home bruised or bleedin' some way, I haven't had enough fun. (But on this ride, I pegged my fun meter!)

Ya'll ride safe and have fun.

That will happen. Be sure to take that pedal off and regrease it every once and a while. There is also a cam on which the rear brake pads ride on that locks up. I recently had to regrease it.

This sounds like some good advise to save $75 for a $1.50 part (geez).
Mine is starting to stick a little but I will grease it before it freezes up totally. I did notice the cam adjusters too but mine work well still. Sounds like I got some more grease'n to do. Thanks

I wish I'd either found the right tool or taken it to a shop on my wife's. It's pretty much on there you can tell I tried to remove it.
