Rubicon Steering
#11
TexMud, can you spin the tires on black top without a load behind you or are you talking about when it is tied to something that just can't be pulled. If you can spin the tires on black top just accelerating that is impressive indeed. What does the performance kit consist of and what kind of torque and horsepower increase do you get and what does it cost? Thanks!

I'm talking about just sitting on pavement with NOTHING attached to the quad. I can just gas it and all 4 will light up. Now with the aggressive tread of the outlaws, they will hook up after 2-3 seconds. While riding if I want to powerslide all I do is press the gas and they will all break loose. Information on the power kit and the big bore was posted here: http://moon.shreve.net/~hilift1/cgi-...4&t=006675

This mainly to Texmud but if anybody else has a response please respond!!! I have a 2001 Ruby I upgraded from the 350 Rancher.I work at a Honda and Polaris dealer.I have found that every Rubicon seems to perform different. We have one in our shop right now with a problem that it won't bach shift when in H D2.When I drove it it seems to have alot more power out of the hole then mine,it has twice the miles as mine I only have about 250 miles on mine. What I am asking is there a big difference in the performance when I get more miles on it? I know for sure that mine won't spin all fours(it is stock).
Thanks Guys

Take a look at the modifications I have listed on my website. Mine isnt exactly stock. Mine is a 550 and not a 500. A stock one will NOT spin anything! I have found that no matter what quad I hop on all of them are different. I have raced some SP500s and some have been faster than me, while some slower. No two quads are alike.
