HOOTIE, MAKE YOUR OWN MOUNT ,IT IS BASICLY A FLAT PLATE ANYWAY ,I MADE MINE IT JUST ATTACHES UP UNDER THE HOOD, SITS ON TOP OF FRAME AND ATTACHES WITH SMALL U-BOLTS, MY DEALER HAD THE CYCLE COUNTRY MOUNT THAT I COPIED AND WE CAN'T BELIEVE THEY GET $60.00 FOR ONE, AND ALSO ,I BELIEVE GOWARN.COM SHOWS IT IN GOOD DETAIL SO YOU CAN GET AN IDEA ........... 2001 RANCHER 4X4 W/ #2000 WARN--- RIDE THE BEST,PI$$ ON THE REST

Honran01 is right! A flat plate is all you need! I make all my own winch mounts out of 1/4 inch aluminum plate. I have installed winches on at least 7 Ranchers and many more on other quads. They are one of the easiest!
Where are you in Minnesota? I think I have a mount plate already cut for a Rancher. I will check. I'll give it to you if you want to pick it up!
E- mail me if you want it.

for one.....my multi-mount has the winch sitting outside of the four wheeler.....i think it is quit open for something to hit it and would have lots of contact in mud.....second....it is big and the kit was hard to install....i like the winch to be under cover and mounted as high as poss.
