Over heating was an issue while talking to FST. Most of the strokers that Mickey has built are used for desert racing. A larger oil reservoir and oil cooler was recommended for extended rides. Alcohol would cool the motor down. Hmmm.

As a matter of a fact Riceburnin, I'm sure trx250Rob read the post, and I KNOW I did. What exactly is your point?

my point is how people were saying if he wanted to have more power to break loose the tires easier he should buy a 250r or a raptor. He didn't post what bike should he buy, he wanted info on big bore kits. But thats typical of these boards.

Riceburnin,

Contrary to popular belief, some posts on this forum are meant to be taken lightly... You know.. Something they call a joke?

You might should go back and read my previous post, I believe I was the 1st person to reply.

If you use the same parts with a 440 its gonna out due the 416. 416 is only good for more reliability. I would suggest a 440 kit(12:1) w/ mid cam, or a 416 with a race cam and a nice port and polish job. By the way, My 440EX smokes my mom and dad's raptors and they have pipes and one even has carbs.(ok,doesnt smoke'em, but i win up the hills by a few bike lengths evertime, even with my brither riding them wich is 35lbs lighter than me)

QuadSpeed440EX, doesn't the 12:1 require 110 octane? I think the highest you can go is 11:1. I'm not saying that he won't want to burn race gas, I'm asking a question.

lonestar, i am just tired of the lack of knowledge on this board. There isn't many technical questions answered with straight questions because the 12-15 year old audience on this board doesn't have the experience to know. This is exactly the reason the board has chased off the true 'tech' people from the board. Im not directing this to you, but I hate to see a good topic, then to read the posts and see the topic completely gone and chitter chatter filling the post.

RIce you are taking things too seriously, lighten up. I am the first one to hate seeing stupid comebacks and smart remarks, but this forum is about ATVing, not curing cancer. We ride to have a good time and like to joke around every now and then. Lonestar and I where just making a comment.

There is a difference to saying

"if you really want to spin your tires get an R" <----friendly talk.

and

"A 400ex is a piece of S$it and can't spin is tire half as good as any two-stroke" <----stupid ignorant, flame inducing remark.

See the difference. Light up and have a beer.
