We went riding down at the river on Sunday so I could try out my new Gators in nasty mud. We found out a few of the places we usually cross had been washed out in the flood last week. I started across and knew right away it was a little too deep. All of a sudden the front end came up like I was doing a wheely. I made it on across and we went on after the others found a better place to cross. A little bit later we were trying to cross again and my nephew (also on a 250EX) tried a different way across. The water was suddenly up to his headlight and then his front end also came up as his engine drowned out. When he got off to get ready to tow it out, it bobbed to the surface and all he had to do was push it across! We had to drain the float bowl but it started right up and on we went. By the way, the Gators worked really well and I recomend them to anyone.

yeah my friends recon just barely floats and the 250ex is 42 ponds lighter so i bet it would float. it is a lot easier than digging it out of mud.
