When running my recon, if i gas it over 2000 rpm, it bogs out. i know its not a air problem, and its probably not a fuel problem. i think it may be a carb or ignition problem.

for a couple days i could start mine but couldn't touch the gas or it would die...what i did was pulled the choke fully out and started pumping that gas and hit the started button and it cranked and i revved it pretty high for about 10-15 seconds off and on the throttle....it seems to fix it...might have had a peice of dirt in one of the jets or something.....i dunno...

Sounds like you have a piece of something stuck in the main jet. It idles OK but when you gass it it doesn't get enough fuel so it bogs. It's pretty easy to fix just take off the carb., remove the bowl, and clean it out.

Hope this helps,

FYI-I had a similar problem on my 2001. Problem was a defective fuel **** which was repaired under warranty. It would not idle at all and was hard to start, even with the choke pulled. Fixed and runs great now!

Check your choke cable where it goes into the carb. There is a rubber boot that supose to keep water out but this is not always the case as it will hold water in and rust up. It will make the choke stick open even though it shows at the haddle bars that it is closed. Easy job to fix.
