350 powervalve

I have that set up from LRD , I don't have a lot of time on it yet but I'm very happy with it so far. Very strong power right off the bottom without the big hit of a ported non-valved motor. Unless you have a fairly fresh bottom end I would recomend going through the complete engine/trans assembly and upgrade to the 8 plate clutch with a billet basket. The only drawback is it's a bear to start, you have to figure out what works. The high compression makes for a workout, no tennis shoes here. Arlan at LRD claims 93db, it's not that loud with the duel silencer setup. Click on the "test" link in my previous post and you will see pics of it. I silicone sealed all the end caps and that made it even quieter. He also claims no loss of power but an actual slight gain in top end. I plan on Silver Lake next year so I'll find out but I don't see a problem with the noise level.

I have the CT 350 powervalve motor in my '88 250r. I am extremely happy with the performance and so far with the reliability. I eliminated the airbox and installed an ESR kit and gained even more power. The powervalve is great because the throttle response is so much better at the low end. I've had several 295's and I would never go back to a non powervalve cylinder, especially if you're gonna race or ride hardpack. I ride mostly in the dunes and race mx a few times a year and this motor works great in both areas. By the way it's for sale to pay for the new ride.
