A Good Fourwheeler is a Honda Fourtrax 300 4x4

I have a 92 Honda 300 4x4 and its one of the best fourwheelers ive ever owned or operated. Im 15 years old and since my dad bought me this fourwheeler i have never changed the oil in it yet. I ride it all the time. But i have on problem is their a way i can BEEF up the power a little bit?

Nick,I know your only 15,but I'd really change that oil before I did anything else.You can beef that Honda up all you want,but dirty oil causes premature wear on engine components,and in awhile,serious engine problems could be the end result.Big $$$$$$$$ for engine repairs.Oil changes are relativly inexpensive.GO FOR IT-------BILL

It probably does still run like new, but you still need to change the oil to ensure that it does that 10 years from now. I know its a pain with the filter that it uses, but its worth it, even if you only do it every two years or so.

Banshee Killer- that's not entirely true about this kid's honda. We got my 300 brand new in 1989 and at the time I was only 15. I didn't do maintenance, that was handled by my dad normally, and still being a kid, I didn't realize the importance of things like oil. After about 93, I didn't really ride it that much, but by then it had been ridden into the ground. Well, its almost 2000 now and that bike hasn't had over 3 oil changes in its life. It has never had any problems other than a replaced rear brake cable, choke cable, and normal maintenance such as brakes, two sparkplugs, and tires. The front brakes are shot right now, but it has never, I mean never had any engine trouble whatsoever. This isn't good maintenance at all. In fact, its terrible, but the strong Honda engine is truly a work of art when it comes to longevity. From 50 degrees and up, just push the button and it starts. No throttle needed at all. Colder than that needs some throttle, but it has to be extremely cold outside to necessitate the use of the choke. There is nothing that can top the reliability. Maybe some might claim a tie, but nothing is better. Like Charles Barkley said, "No one works harder than me, No one. Some may work as hard, but nobody works harder."
