Im wanting to know what tires i should get for my 250EX.
I like the look of the smaller tires and i know they help acceleration but which are best for jumps trails etc etc.

I have 400EX factory tires on the back of my 250EX, they look good, they are a flat tire and get good anuff traction for any trail.

18" tires are the ONLY tire for MX. If you are serious about racing, you need to get them. If cost is an object, ITP just realeased the 18x11-9 Holeshot MX. This means that you wont have to change wheels, just tires.

Im pretty sure the wholeshot MX's cost more then Tamers. But I haven't really been looking for tires, so IDK. Last I heard they cost more then tamers.

Yeah, but does Titan make them for a 9" wheel(which does come factory on a Honda 250EX). Therefore, buying ITP Holeshot MX's are cheaper than buying a set of tamers, plus wheels. Point proven?

I run 18" tamers in the rear and 19" holeshot mx's in the front and they seem to work very well.

18incher's are awesome, but going from 22 to 18 inch tires on a 250ex might be a small problem, considering it can't be regeared, and toping out at 35mph might not be a good thing. I know I've hit the rev limiter quite a few times on my 400ex with 14th and 18 inch tires a quite few times in track conditions, and a 250ex with 18inch rears would be even slower on top speed. I'm thinking 20 inch turf-tamers, and a set grooved radials (maybe 12 rim inch versions to keep tire ratio), holeshot-mx's, or Fast Trecker's with the side ***** shaved for the front.

I would go with some 6ply 20" Razrs. I think those would be the best for riding trails and for play racing. If you're serious about mx I would go with the Tamers since they get very good traction, slide well, and are very light. I agree with 250rampage, go with 20".
