Honda 300 4x4 (General Part I)

I noticed in earlier posts concerns about Vampires being too big for a 300 4x4. I am also thinking about Vampires and I have that same concern.
I am thinking about 24x9x11 for the front and 25x9.50x11 for the rear (instead of the wider ones in the rear). (I think these are the smallest Vampires thee are???)
Does putting the 25x9.50x11 tires on the rear solve the weight problem?
Also, does anyone have any comments on the old Super Swampers vs. the Vampire?
Thanks.

I have a 1990 300 4x4. I have just installed a High Lifter lift kit. I currently have GDY Tracker tires on it that came off a Honda 400.( the guy put a big wheel kit on) The tread on these tires are pretty worn down and I need new ones. I ride mainly here in Eastern NC, where most of the trails are in swampy undeveloped land. So I need a good mud tire. However, I go to the beautiful state of WVa about 5 times a year and ride up there. If you don't know, WVa ain't nothing but one big ole rock!(ha, ha) Rocks everywhere! So I need a tire that is also good for hills, rocks, and snow. What do you guys suggest? Also, what sizes do you suggest? I have no additional mods to the 4x4. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
