i rode an older 250X (not ex) this thing handled great, good suspension, and had more low end then warriors i raced and rode that day, i belive it could destroy a 300 in a drag, you should look into one of those, it would save you alot of money, its one of those quads alot of people bought, its 4 stroke 250 cc chain driven manual
