Hillside Hawk let me refrase Im not calling you a beginner,I used to ride a 230 Quadsport highly modified ann Im sure it wouldnt touch a 300EX. But a 300EX would be a good bike for someone of my size to start on 215lbs. I know you understood what i was saying but so as not to offend anyone else.. thank you

 

I have a 97 300 ex and my dad just bought a 00 trailblazer. The trailblazer is fun to ride but it won't hang with the 300 ex. It is fast and will be fine for trails. It seems to corner maybe a little better than the ex since its a little wider,but the steering seams a little harder to me. What I didn't like about it was,when I got it on our little motocross track, I couldn't the power quick enough out of the corner to clear our 50 foot table top.I was going full throttle out of the corner and just couldn't do it. When I'm on my 300 ex all I have to do is get a little speed gun it on the take off and clear it no problem. But it's a real good four wheeler for only $3000 and will be great for trails. He'll have a good time on it. bye

 

I know what you mean about the TB out of the corners! It is a dog. But I put a RCR pipe on it & a higher engagement clutch spring which helped ALOT! Keep in mind also the TB weighs 440lbs.
Hillside, I ride with a couple of 300EX's & I have a slightly modded TB. I know what they can do & just call them like I see them whether it is in Polaris's favor or not. I know everyone likes their choice of quad (me too) but when someone asks if the 300EX is faster well it is! Something like which is better on trails is more of an opinion I guess. Too each their own riding style. But a race can't be argued.
The one thing that bothers me about my friends 300EX's ...? That Damn reverse!!!!
