Get the 300EX. I'm a 4-stroke guy, so that leaves the Mojave and the 300EX. I don't like the Mojave. My friend has a Lakota, and the Lakota and Mojave frames are basically the same. He can barely go around a corner without two-wheeling. In a drag, the Mojave is faster than a 300EX, but the 300EX is a good handling machine. Quick, responsive, predictable and precise. Those traits translate into fun and easy to control! The Blaster is a solid quad, but like I said, I'm a 4-stroke guy, and mechanical brakes scare me.
There are more mods for the Blaster mods, but to equal the 300EX in handling, you're going to have to spend lots of money. They are tied for engines, but the 300EX has better suspension and hydraulic brakes all the way around.

the blaster is a two stroke, so just add a couple mods and it will scream.as far as handling goes ,just turn the front rims around and get some new rear tires and it will be awsome.plus since they cost so little that you'll end up paying the same as the 300ex and thats a quad thats faster and with comperable handling at around the same price.

I was in the same situation about 5 years ago when I wanted to get a wheeler. I just happened to get a Dirt Wheels mag at the store that had a "sport ride" shoot-out in that issue. The article was very fair, bringing out the strong ( and weak) points of each machine. I chose the 300 ex because I stand about 6'1" and need the legroom. I had also owned a '84 ATC 200x, so I knew about the reliabilty of the Honda. Whatever your choice, make sure that you do your research good. Have fun and ride hard!!

I own a blaster and have heard of turning the front tires around for increased stability. I am wondering how well the spindles will hold up to the additional stress placed on them?
Concerning the main topic. Check out the web page
http://www.geocities.com/Baja/Canyon..._YFS200/temp2/ He has a shootout posted there among the warrior,300ex, mojave, and blaster. It is a good review of the machines.
Hope that helps.

Hi, Last season I raced a 1999 Mojave in amateur MX. The mojave is a great quad but I would still go for the 300ex. I don't trust the blaster brakes. In a MX race I had wheel spacers on my mojave, a DG pipe and a K and N filter. When I raced similar setup 300's it seemed like they had a little bit more midrange. I feel the mojave's springs are a little too harsh for MX and the 300 handles better. I am also over 6 foot so I felt cramped on the mojave. If you do a lot of trail riding, I would go for the mojave. Of course I sold my mojave and got a 250R.

i would the the blaster, its not because i own one, and i own it because i don´t like the mojave or the 300ex, if i did then i would get the mojave or the 300ex, i like 2stroke engines, its quick and has really cool sound, the 300ex is a good quad, i´ve ridden it a couple of times and i like it but not as much as i like the blaster, i can smoke any 300ex, here in argentina there are a couple of 300ex where i live and we ride togheter a lot and i smoke them always in drag races on pavement, and my buddys says that the blaster is a better jumper than the 300ex, the only problem of the blaster is the rear mechanical brake, i fixed it, i bought new brake pads from different compoud and it brakes really really good, and the from dual drums are great, never had a problem, so if u dont know the blaster brakes dont say bs.
