Just a giggle at my son's expense. He rode his first MX (arenacross) race in Harrisburg a couple ofweeks ago. He was prety nervous, maybe even as much as I was. Tough place to start. There were about 5000 people in the stands at least. He mashed the thumb throttle on the hole shot and stood that 350 on its tail instantly as the rest of the herd thundered away. Still clinging to his now vertical quad he pogoed along for a few feet, and finally gave up - landed on his butt and the quad just sat there on the grab bar. Looking around and hoping for a restart - none was to be found. So he kicked the quad to the hozizontal position and tore of in chase. Only to find that everyone by now had made the first two thirds of the course and were headed back directly at him. Gave the flaggers something to do. (he did have enough sense to pull over and get out of the way). He certainly managed to take the pressure off himself for his first race,
