I just put on the Paul Turner Fat Boy 4 complete package. Man what a difference in power. I wonder if anybody can tell me about the Edelbrock Carb and what difference it would make.

I've heard that they are incredibly hard to get properly dialed in. Most people that I know that have tried end up putting them on Ebay.

Thanks QuadFather. I'm just kicking it around and I have not decided to get it yet. Any other suggestions to make my 400EX perform better? I can't believe that Paul Turner pipe made that big of a difference. My buddy has a Raptor and I'd say that I'm just as fast as him now.

Don't be silly!!! You might have me on take off, just because I can't keep all four tires on the ground. The Raptor just wants to stand straight up and down and you know that to be the truth. However, in a straight away, i will still pull away from you. After all the money you put into that machine to KEEP UP, you could have saved some and bought a kick *** machine from the jump... a RAPTOR !!!!!!!!!!!

A lot of people are hopping up the cams on their 400EXs. Word is, if you drop in a XR400 cam, you will crush stock qua

Also, if you want to, you can get a 416 kit for around $300.

Yeah brother, that Paul Turner fat boy really made a difference. I was totally surprised. I can wait until I get my White Bros E Series on mine ( Monday)!. You got that machine hopped up nice, but I still wouldn't mess with the engine. It's a honda engine and if you start to tinker withit, you never know what will happen. besides, I don't think either of us are great "mechanics". Your machine, Your choice, but how fast do we really have to go doing what we do ??? I would invest in appearance stuff now, ie.. bumper, graphics, skid plate (definitely).
Later bro...

QuadFather,
What kind of Cams are they putting in? Are they also getting the stronger Valve Spring? I checked out your pics and it looks awesome. Thanks for your help.

A stock XR400 cam will give you a lot better performance. The stock valve springs are fine with this setup. If you run a bigger cam with the 440 kit, as you would need to, then you will need beefier springs.
