<< I tried a few years back at one of the local Honda shops to purchase a new quad on the credit card I had then because after a certain dollar amount you would get 2% of the total back at the end of the year. >>

2fiftyX,
This was 1997. I had a GE credit card at that time. I don't remember the amount at which you had to spend but I think it was $5000 so if I was to pay with the card I would get $100 back at the end of the year period. I really didn't question them why they wouldn't do it because I had never used a credit card in that way. Maybe its the 30 day dispute policy the credit card company had. I guess if I took the quad back and disputed payment, the Honda shop they would be stuck with a used quad. I really don't know but your right money is money and General Motors now even has a credit card where you get money off on one of their cars if you use the GM card. I usually pay in cash and even when I use the card I pay in full every month.

When I bought my Eiger this winter I put the full amount on my BP Visa card. paid the bill in full at the end of the month - no interest and BP sent me $50 in free gas cards.

I've used the GM card for years - bought a '02 Silverado last fall - GM gave me $4,200 cash.

I only use credit cards that pay me to use them, never pay interest.
