If you wanna know what the fastest quads here are, you should go talk to some of the Bomb owners (especially the ones that live in Texas ). They're all about drag racing. Turbo DS's, big bore kits, NOS... you name it and the Bomb owners will do it. I haven't noticed a lot of Shee owners that have really fast quads but I probably just wasnt' paying attention.

I had a Mojave. 250 4 stroke, kick start, tiny chassis. It took about 6 screws and body plastic removal to get to the air filter. It worked okay, but the back wheels tried to beat the front wheels whenever the trail got bumpy. Short suspension travel and harsh. Hit my knees on the bars, etc. They still make the same quad as in '88. Maybe they think it is now retro.

At least he hasn't went thru 50 old threads and offered stupid wisdom. And ya gotta admit that Polaris was a turd.

Too true...luckily for me I didn't know those years in the Polaris chapter.

I had a trailblazer once, it wasn't that bad. A bit overweight and underpowered but you can find them cheap now. I'd rather have a 2wd Scrambler 400 though, a lot faster. Almost bought one for $800 recently. I wouldnt mind having a 2wd sport machine to ride when i only want to go fast.

You just described my '85 LT250R, can't get parts, suspension is non existent, the power is meh, and it handles like a Harley in a sand dune. My Blaster will match it in a drag race, but leave it in the dust on trails.
