Yep, wasnt anything mechanical (well, sort of) at all.
I was revving the engine like hell in neutral while looking at the engine up close.
I could see exhaust escaping out from the head gasket.
I tore it down and to my surprize.... TWO of the four cylinder head studs were just about finger loose. (I guess this was MY fault, since I built the top end)
The noise was exhaust escaping out of the head gasket. (thats not what it SOUNDED like!!)
anyway, I replaced the gasket with a WB 440 gasket, torqued everything properly, and she runs like an absolute champ. (man oh man is a compression leak a power killer)
Im sure the 80-20 mixture of 107 octane race/91 octane thinking it was ping doesnt hurt the power output though.............

Thanks for the help guys.
