So, after all my data, what's your assessment? By the way is the number size written on the slow(pilot) jet? How do I reach it so I can check? Should I put in the 155 or lean the gas? what's safer? will I get to the promised land using either method?

It's cold and dark here too. But I'm determined! I went down my road and figured where I needed to start to rech WOT in 5th, kill it and roll into the driveway, then I pushed into the garage. Piece O cake!

I only have a 155 on me. I'd have to wait til tomorrow for a 158 or 159. If I put in the 155, what should happen if I went to low? This way I'll know.

I would not change your oil/fuel mixture, 32:1 is fine as long as you are running a good quality oil. I personally run AMSOIL which calls for a mixture of 50:1. The pilot jet should be stamped on it but you have to remove the carb to get to it. I would definitely for now just go down one jet size on the main and see how it runs. To change the clip position on the jet needle, you have to unscrew the top of the carb, disconnect the throttle cable and spring. It's good to have a clymers manual if you want to tear any further into your carb.

Yes, lower the main, the leaner you go. It's never a good idea to jump more than one main jet size at a time but you're not going to do any damage running it lean unless you do it for a long period of time.

I just put the 155 back in and turned out the air screw 1 and 1/2 and it seemed to run great. maybe a bit of sputter in the mid but it's also cold out. You think 155 is too low?

Maybe not, but a plug check again is the only true way of saying for sure. Sounds like you're getting close, good job!!!
