300EX or Warrior
#11
<< 300EX a honda is always better than a yamaha. The 300ex is up to date the warrior has all old technology. >>
thats why the warriors old 2 valve motor beats the newer designed 4 valve honda in any drag race.
stock for stock. or even the two equally modded.
<< it takes minimal mods to get the 300ex faster than the warrior on the top end, >>
true but you can also do the same minimal mods to the warrior and you are right back where you started with the warrior out front.
don't get me wrong the 300ex is a great machine, but what really makes the difference on an atv?
the rider. period

It all depends on what you are doing. If you are going to be doing more ramping and tighter trailriding get the 300ex. If you are looking for more torque and very strong midrange power get the warrior. I had the same delimma and got the warrior. My only thing about this is you almost hardly ever see a used warrior for sale(reliability). Where you see a lot of used 300ex for sale. Just a thought!

Ok my friends warrior has a pipe bore .40 over jetted with a racing suspension and I have a 300ex with a pipe, jets, K&N, bore.20 and I still eat it alive in every possible riding condition their no contest then comparing the 300ex with a warrior. To me its pretty sad when racing on the road your so far ahead you cant see your buddy and that's on a strait stretch in winding road I have to stop and wait for his to catch up.

My warrior beat my cousins 300ex by 2 or 3 quad lengths yesterday, his 300ex used to push stock cars, i mean this thing has been bored and the whole nine yards. May have been luck, who knows?? Take these two quads to the woods though and the warrior would run circles around the 300ex

Take them to a real riding place,an mx track and we'll see who wins.Everyone says the 300ex goes 55mph.If that was true then that would mean the 250ex goes 48 cause honda always makes their machines 9 mph faster then the step down from it.The reason that you see so many 300ex's for sale is bacause that machine got them closer to riding a bigger quad then the warrior. Why dont you do other matches then just the 300ex and warrior. try the blaster, mojave, lakota etc.Everyone knows that the warrior has its great features as does the 300ex.

We have a 300EX now, and previously had a Warrior for many years. The Warrior just doesn't handle as well as the 300. The 300 has better suspension, jumping manners, quicker handling, and it mods up pretty well. The Warrior is faster in a straight line, but WHAT GOOD IS SPEED IF YOU DON'T HAVE DESCENT SUSPENSION TO HANDLE IT? While the Warrior isn't that much heavier, it sure HANDLES LIKE IT IS A BIG HEAVY BEAST! And, the Warrior is a real DOG in the technical stuff.
Frankly, there aren't ANY circumstances where I can recommend a Warrior to anybody. Yamaha needs to retire this thing. It's a crime that they are still selling these to unsuspecting customers. There are so many places you can get much more for your money!! If you are to large for the 300, then get a 400, Raptor, or the new Suzuki.
