Buy a works connection-----by far the best out and works great on a 400. There are many that look like it but they are cheap copies without the bearings. They don't last--I bought one.. ANd then replaced it.. The adjustment on the fly and the lever angle setting make it one of the best improvements out.. Spend the money or wait until you have it...

I put the PEP EZ pull lever on my 400ex. I like it alot. It isn't as "fancy" as the motion pro lever, but it gets the job done. After looking at it, I think I'll make my next one. All that they do is take a CR-250 lever and perch, and drill an offset hole for the **** on the end of your clutch cable to slip into. Then you can take a dremel tool and grind out a smooth path for the cable to travel through. You'll think the same thing after you look at one of these levers.

With the starter switch on the 400ex, all you do is take the 2 wires out of the switch in the parking break/clutch lever perch and connect them together. Your quad will start in any gear with or without the clutch pulled lever pulled in. Or you can leave the wires un-connected, and you'll only be able to start when in neutral. I connected them together, and everything works fine.

Thanks Guys, I'm going to check out those levers. Where is the best place to buy the works connection? What's the best price including the perch?

Well I bought the works Connection pro lever. They told me at Dennis Kirk that the CR250 lever will work. I hope so. Any thoughts? Is this the right one?

For my stock cr250 perch and lever, I paid $15.

For my Warrior I got the MSR Raptor Clutch Lever Assembly, Shorty. It works great and the shorty has just enough space for 2 fingers, which is what I like most about it.

I'm not sure if the lever would work on a 400 EX, but I think it would be worth it to check see if the lever is compatable.
